Indianapolis, IN (SportsNetwork.com) - The Lakers scored the final six points of the second quarter. The Pacers, who had lost eight straight games, still led by 33 at halftime. Rodney Stuckey posted his second straight double-double and Indiana crushed Los Angeles, 110-91, on Monday. The Pacers got to rest on Sunday while Kobe Bryant and the Lakers played in Minnesota. Bryant hit a pair of free throws in the second quarter of that game to pass Michael Jordan for third place on the all-time NBA scoring list. The Lakers beat the Wolves to win their third straight game, but they came down from that high just minutes into Mondays game in Indiana. C.J. Miles layup at 2:22 of the first quarter gave the Pacers a 26-4 lead. Los Angeles scored 11 points in the final two minutes of the period and still trailed 34-15. They came out and just jumped on us, Lakers head coach Byron Scott said. They have a good team. The second quarter went much like the first, with a 14-2 Indiana run pushing the margin to 48-17 five minutes before halftime. The Pacers led by 39 points when Bryant and Wesley Johnson hit consecutive 3s to send the two teams into halftime. Bryant shot 3-for-13, the bench was 2-for-19 and the Lakers stumbled to a 16.3 percent shooting performance over the first 24 minutes. They trailed 60-27. Stuckey had 20 points, 10 rebounds and seven assists and Miles scored 20 off the bench for Indiana, which hadnt won since Nov. 28 against the Magic. Defensively, we made it tough on them, Miles said. We have to go out there and know its not going to be given to us. Bryant put up 21 points on 8-for-26 shooting. Nick Young netted a more efficient 18 points on 12 shots and Carlos Boozer went for 13 and 10 boards. The Lakers won the third quarter, 31-29, and outscored Indiana by 12 in the fourth. They got as close as 14 on a Jordan Clarkson 3-pointer with a minute remaining. Donald Sloan had 15 of his 17 points in the fourth, including a pair of 3s in the final minute, to push the final margin back to 19. Philadelphia kicks off its longest trip of the season tonight, an eight-game swing that will keep the Flyers away from the Wells Fargo Center until they host Ottawa on Jan. 6. By the time the trip ends Jan. 3 in New Jersey, Craig Berubes club will have played 13 road tilts over a 17-game stretch. The Flyers, who went 2-1-1 on a four-game homestand that wrapped Thursday against Florida, is hoping this trek turns out better than its last road trip. Philadelphia went 1-2-2 on a five-game swing from Nov. 29-Dec. 9 and is just 3-9-3 as the visiting team this season. Philadelphia has six wins over its last eight games in Toronto, but the Leafs have claimed two of the past three meetings at Air Canada Centre. Tonights tilt marks the first of three scheduled encounters between the club in 2014-15. The Leafs took two of three from the Flyers in 2013-14 and have earned four wins in the past six meetings overall. Dave Bolland scored in the sixth round of the tiebreaker to lift the Panthers to a 2-1 victory. It was a short shootout compared to the NHL-record 20-round battle Florida had with the Washington Capitals on Tuesday. The Flyers fell to 0-5 in shootouts this season. The Hurricanes had lost six in a row before dealing the Maple Leafs the setback at PNC Arena. The Leafs were eyeing their longest winning streak in over 11 years, but Carolina jumped out to a 2-0 lead in the first period and never looked back. Dion Phaneuf scored for the Maple Leafs, who also lost for just the third time in their last 13 games (10-2-1).
